Hi! I’m Ali 😊 I am twenty-something and I am going into my 11th year as a professional on the WTA tour. I remember signing with Vanderbilt like it was yesterday. I also remember turning down the scholarship two weeks before my scheduled first class (like it was yesterday, too) and turning pro. I have a career high ranking of 36 in the world. I won my first WTA title in Tianjin, China in 2014, where I ate only rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have respresented The US of A in Fed Cup on multiple occasions. Serena Williams was my doubles partner for a day when we lost vs. Italy and now I say that I am (in)famously a part of Serena’s only Fed Cup loss.
On a serious note, I absolutely love my job and try my best to embrace the ups, but more importantly, the downs. I love being a nomad and exploring the places I visit. I was born to eat so I will take you on some palatable adventures, too. I am so excited to have you with me on this adventure and I look forward to sharing some of my favorite things and moments with you!
Fun facts: If I was not a tennis player, I would want to be a member of Delta Force…only 1/4 joking. I have an incredible family and love them to pieces. I have an affinity for writing- all of my filled journals show for it. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa, but I currently live and train in Florida. I also spent a few years in Hilton Head, Sc so my “ya’lls” are totally justified. Go Steelers and Go America! 🐝🇺🇸
